Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on each campers' abilities rather than their disabilities. Traditional camp activities are adapted to each individual, provided in our barrier-free facilities, and implemented by trained, caring staff. Campers are grouped by age, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while having fun and experiencing new adventures.
For Oak Cliff aims to liberate Oak Cliff from systemic oppression through a culture of education, while increasing social mobility and social capital. They aim to accomplish their mission by curating dual-gen, community-driven programming through their 4 pillars: Education, Advocacy, Community Building, and Arts. For Oak Cliff has a 20,000 sq ft. building sitting atop 10-acres of land which provides a safe space to expand their pillar-driven programming.
In DFW, Buckner serves vulnerable children, families, and seniors with resources and support to protect children, strengthen families, transform generations and serve seniors. Buckner provides the training and resources needed to become a family to a child through domestic foster care or adoption. They provide campus foster homes for children and provide single-parent families the opportunity to live in a safe, secure environment while completing their educational or vocational goals.
